The Foot-bridge will be used by about 30,000 pedestrians to go across the busy Outer Ring Road in Bellandur. The six lane road has seen many fatalities at this point. The footbridge will also facilitate access to the bus stops on the main carriageway. It spans across 72 meters and is column free across the main carriageway.

The design in itself takes inspiration from the nature to create, an element which is structurally efficient and sculpturally beautiful. The skeletal structure of a reptile accommodates a very strong flexible design, where the rib cage is well developed held together by a strong spine and bound by a strenum. Following these principles, this design has been abstracted to accommodate the components of the bridge to come under one structure.
